P5: Create the Personal Media Profile with Repurposed Content
In this report, I will be explaining how I have repurposed my content for my digital media porfolio website. Here is a link to me website: https://faithholly6.wixsite.com/digitalportfolio
As you navigate my website, you can see my work displayed on the home page, portfolio page and all of my work have their own seperate pages explaining how I created the media product.
My Projects
This is my Club Europe animation. You can see this web page by following this link: https://faithholly6.wixsite.com/digitalportfolio/club-europe-animation
I followed a client brief for this project. I was asked to create an animation for Club Europe explaining to young people how to pack and prepare for a holiday/tour abroad. Club Europe supply tours across the world so students in education can travel abroad. They offer sports, music and educational tours. I decided to target teens aged 13-18 because they are more likely to be allowed by their parents to go abroad. To repurpose this, I embedded the animation into my website.
This is our Powerbeats Pro audio visual promo. Here is the webpage on my website: https://faithholly6.wixsite.com/digitalportfolio/powerbeats-pro-advert
Our advertisement is aimed towards college and university students since they will be able to afford the earphones. The advert shows how boring life is and how everything seems to go wrong without the earphones. The main draw is that the earphones will make your day better and they also help you be more productive while working.
In my group, I filmed some of our advert and I edited my own version in Adobe Premiere Pro. I created the graphic using Adobe photoshop.
This is our DonCast Films radio show. You can see this web page by following this link: https://faithholly6.wixsite.com/digitalportfolio/doncastfilmsradioshow
I collaborated on this media product with my friend Ellie who is also taking the same media course. The client brief asked us to create a radio show based on Doncaster. We decided to focus on the arts and culture around Doncaster. We discussed upcoming films at Savoy cinema and upcoming performances at Cast. We also talked about what the Dome Leasure Center offers (iceskating, swimming, gym) and events upcoming there too. Since we created this media product in Winter, we talked about the events to participate at these establishments in the Winter season. We targeted families since they may want to spend time with each other while they have some time off.
I had lots of roles while creating this radio show. I created half of the preproduction documents, recorded the radio show with Ellie (I am one of the presenters) and even edited the radio show in Adobe Audition.
This is our Newspaper short film. You can see the webpage for this project using this link: https://faithholly6.wixsite.com/digitalportfolio/newspaper-short-film
Our short film is a detective film noir. Nancy Carmine, a woman from a rich family, has been murdered. The Detective must find out who the killer is before they strike again.
This is a group project and I played a huge part in this. I filmed our short film and edited it using Adobe Premiere Pro. I filmed in colour then desaturated the image to create the film noir effect.
This is my Sheldon Cooper TBBT TV magazine that I produced. You can follow the link here to go to the web page: https://faithholly6.wixsite.com/digitalportfolio/magazine-production
I was asked to create a magazine for unit 3. I believe that Sheldon Cooper from TBBT is a fun, intricate character that fans would love to read more about. I followed the conventions of TV magazines while creating my own. In my magazine, you can read about Sheldon's quirks, funny moments, relationships with others and famous quotes such as BAZINGA!
To produce this, I took my own photos of the model. I edited the photo in Adobe Lightroom. I edited the assets for my magazine using Adobe Photoshop and I drew some assets using Illustrator. I used InDesign to create my actual magazine.
Here you can see my Effervescent canned drink advertising campaign. Here is the webpage: https://faithholly6.wixsite.com/digitalportfolio/effervescent-ad-campaign
In the client brief, I was asked to design a healthy, fizzy canned drink and produce an advertising campaign with a consistant message. They asked me to target 16-25 year olds, male and female ethnically diverse. Effervescent means fizzy in terms of a drink and also in terms of personality. Therefore, I thought this name fit well with the aim of my drink, to make people feel happy, healthy and ready or the day ahead. I decided to base my campaign around social media, encouraging users to pose with their Effervescent cans since they are so asthetic. This would also ensure that the drink would reach global audiences and stay relevant. To create the can and advertising campaigns, I used Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro.
Here you can see my Media Instagram and YouTube accounts. These social media networks are public and I will add my work to these accounts throughout the years. I have included a link to my website on there and you can also see my social media links on my actual website.
